As you all well know, my beautiful nephew was born this past Sunday. It was an incredible thing to watch and I am so glad I got to be a part of it.
I got really lucky(in a way) in the fact that on Thursday and Friday I had the flu. I even stayed home from work which I never do. Felt much better on Saturday. Sean, Harmony and Isaac came over to play some games and have dinner. Caitlin went into labor late Sat night and we went to the hospital around 3am on Sunday morning. I was able to be there for everything and be there when my little Axey came.
Then, I woke up on Monday morning with pink eye in my right eye. This morning I woke up with it in both eyes. Isaac was nice enough to pass that along to me.
I’m so sad though because I can’t go over there to see and snuggle and love and kiss my little Axey :( I can’t go over there on Saturday to take his newborn photos :(
I guess that Axton knew that I had a one day window there where I could be around him.
Thanks Axey! I’m glad you love your Auntie because she sure loves you and I will be sure to make up for lost time once it’s safe to go around you!

Do you think you can control what you dream about?

I don't think that you can. Last night I had a dream so realistic (probably because I was drugged up on Nyquil) that once I woke up, I was just praying that it wasn't real.

That made me wonder, do you think you can control what you dream about? Not what happens IN the dream because I know sometimes you can guide your dreams but what you are dreaming about?

Last night I had a dream where I was in a room and I was showering in front of a whole bunch of people… I believe my mother-in-law Laurie was there, Isaac was there, Ben Filipiak and a bunch of his friends and perhaps a few of my friends. You know what I was the most worried about? The fact that I hadn’t shaved in a while. I would think the thing you would wonder about is why you would have to be showering in front of all these people and not even in a bathroom, it was like a classroom or something. Not me though, I hadn’t shaved dangit.

We always have some potential clients that call that always are an eyebrow raiser… here was one of my latest.
J: Hello, (place of business) how can I help you?
C: I need to retain a law firm that can help me with some issues that I am having, the least problem being divorce. I want a firm that can help me with all my many problems and not have to split it up between firms. If your firm can’t do that for me then I can’t go with you.
J: Well we have 7 attorneys that can help you with most things… what else do you have going on?
C: Another thing is I have to be working with a Christian law firm, are you a Christian law firm? Does everyone there believe in Jesus Christ?
J: (slight baffled) ah, I have no idea what everyone’s belief’s are.
C: well then I can’t work with you guys. I need a Christian Law Firm. Are you a Christian?
J: ahhhhhhhhhh, yes (I don’t mind answering this question but I do realize that it isn’t an appropriate question to ask a stranger on the phone at a place of business)
C: Well, how do you know you are a Christian?

Excuse me?????? How is this any of your business???? (I didn't say this ONLY because I was at work and I don't want to get in trouble in case she would complain) I was definitely done with this lady. I gave her a referral number and got her off the phone. Geez, this lady had some balls! At least that is what I think… what do you think?

We had a great time in Arizona. It was so great being able to spend time with family and become better friends with Max's siblings. I really married into the best family and I am so happy we were able to spend this time together.
These are just a few pics to try and show what the trip was about which is mostly just hanging out with each other! Also some sleeping in the car (try a lot of sleeping in the car... 26 hours down there and 29 hours back), Grand Canyon, New Years/silly string, and games :)
I took 8 zillion pics so I think I will put up a bunch on facebook if you want to see those... I just wanted to let you know that we are home safe and sound with a lot of great memories!

9 months

I can't believe that he is going to be here in less then a month! that is just so crazy to me! i can't wait to meet him! if this is the biggest month for growth, i have no idea where he is going to go because caitlin looks like she is going to pop. perhaps she will just split right down the middle and won't have to worry about giving birth or having a c-section... she will just have a giant hole in the middle. that will give him lots of room!

hey there good lookin'

i am not one to go to the doctor a lot at all but when I do, it’s always the nurse that calls me afterwards to let me know the results of some odd test that they did. Yesterday, my gyno called me to let me know that everything is just fine and dandy. i'll bet he only calls the ladies with the good looking lady parts if you know what i mean ;)

i'm totally just kidding. i'm sure my lady parts look just like yours and no better...
